I started looking at these newfangled interactive blogs and websites. It was like a “red light” area in Weight Watchers’ parlance. An area to be very cautious about entering. Because quicker than that (I snap my fingers), I wanted one. Then I had to have one. And got one, a free one that I could install myself. Hah! My Web Guy, who knows his way around WordPress, took three days to get through the intricacies of the the installation process. (It is not easy.) I spent two full, more than eight hour days working on the custom background to this page. That’s the thing that greets you when you open the blog. I wanted something cool, like the graphics that came with the code for this thing. The fan logo is one I’ve had for a long time, I just usually use the horse one. This was a time for experimentation.

My feelings about myself were dashed when my cover designer who is Asian) saw my mock up and said, “You’ve got kind of a Chinese New Year’s thing going on here. And your logo is fussy and pixelated.”

Another day of hard labor to get what you see lovingly cradling my pages. Which I’m still putting up. I hope. My first effort disappeared.

All this travail took the guy explaining how to set up the blog six minutes on his vimeo video. Hah!

I’ve still got twelve minutes of video to master. Better get on it!
